Hi, my name is Maree Read and after you have decided on a date to get married, you are now looking for the right Celebrant to officiate this special day. After we meet, you will see that I have a genuine interest in love and marriage and will create a “perfect promises” ceremony for you both after finding out about your love story.
I can write the ceremony for you or you can create your own, with my guidance to add the legal requirements. I will blend in a little laughter and also some meaningful heart felt moments. We will create a ceremony you will remember forever.

What we do

Me, I am an easy going, highly organised celebrant who pays attention to every detail of the ceremony
I provide all the legal documents and ensure they are completed in accordance with the Marriage Act.
Happy to perform weddings at any location, reception centre, beach, back yards, parks and gardens, destination weddings.
Use of a PA system and microphones, signing table & chairs.
Pre wedding rehearsal to fine tune the perfect day.
Happy to perform weddings of all couples, love is love!
Can include any rituals that you wish into the ceremony

There are so many beautiful places in Melbourne to get married. The Dandenong’s are lovely every month of the year. I can give you some suggestions on reception centres, restaurants etc that hold ceremonies.

You can choose a local park or gardens, being aware that you have to get permission from the council prior to wedding. Having a wedding in your own back yard is also lovely and for people on a budget, I can perform the legals only ceremony, then afterwards you can concentrate on the party. Having a beach wedding at the right time of year is simply beautiful, my favourite place is Port Douglas Queensland but beaches in Victoria are a lovely place to get married. I will perform weddings at any location, it’s your day and I am happy to go where you have planned to hold your wedding.
